Acer Laptops with 6 speakers with 5.1 surround sound system

(AP) — Acer Inc., the Taiwanese computer maker that bought Gateway last year, said that it now aims to take laptop users as close as they can get to the high-definition home theater experience.

The top model of the new “Gemstone blue” line of laptops has a screen with the same resolution as an a top-of-the-line HDTV, at 1,920 pixels by 1,080 pixels, and will have six speakers, including a subwoofer, for so-called “5.1″ surround sound.

The computer will go sale next month in the U.S. for $1,999. A model with three speakers and a smaller screen (but still HD resolution) will cost $1,699. Both will have built-in Blu-ray disc drives.

The computer industry has long had its set of standard screen resolutions, while the consumer electronics industry has standardized on different ones. Acer’s Blue line effectively adopts the consumer-electronics standard, which means that many movies and all HD TV shows will fill the screen, without black bars.

Acer said the laptops would be the first with 1,920-by-1,080 screens, and the top model is the first laptop with six speakers.

The $1,999 model has an 18.4-inch screen, placing it in the “desktop replacement” category of heavy laptops that aren’t meant for more than occasional travel.

NOw the time to save money ,to buy the new model and donate the present one to some one else ……..

GOOGLE’S USAGE DECREASES ,BUT SHARE MARKET VALUE INCREACES

There is a remarkable drop observed in the usage of google search recently. Google is the leader of search engine so far. Comparing to January 2008 with February ,the number of searches being conducted by Google is low in February 2008. A warning for Pay Pal Users :: Phishing Emails like real

Prove of lost account password : My experience  

I am an eBay seller , and using pay pal for purchase so many services like domain names, server space on the net for last few years.

The growth of the email scam is very high and very professional like a real email from relevant company nowadays. I did not cheated by this mails as I am aware about this and living on internet almost 18 hours a day. But I can see lot of people lost their pay pal account to the spammers. I have real expels for it.

I have listed my used laptop in embay last month. I offered a price USD 650 ,I got an inquiry about the model further from a eBay member, I briefed it to him(?) on mail,Within minutes I got the reply from the user that he is interested in my laptop and want to offer little more as I want to ship him to a Italy ,and offer him a under valued invoice (for customs purpose) and rushed me to send the good immediately. Please note this guy claimed that he is from USA and want to present this laptop to his friend in Italy ,and he said he will go to Italy within couple of days to do it.

I told him to pay first ,on my pay pal account, he agreed and took a day, then I got the message from pay pal ,that I got funds in my account, happily I checked my account ,I found the funds are on hold. I confued why it is not approved by pay pal.

I got a call from pay pal customer service they verified me about the transaction and told me that the are suspicious about the buyers account. Then finally they found the transaction as fraud and cancelled it. The money on hold in my account withdrawn by pay pal.

The summery of this incident   :

1. Mr X stealed Mr Y’s pay pal user name and password

2. Mr X lives in Italy ,not in the same country of the account holder

3. Mr X rushed me to but it before the account holder realize it

4. Mr X offer higher price (as that is not his money ) to make the process fast

Dear sellers on eBay or like sites , please aware about such activity of a buyer. When I checked the buyer on eBay his identity is not verified.

As an account holder how do you loss your user name and what phishing email ?

You may get following emails

• You get email from Pay Pal about your account verification ,even after verified and used for long time. Pay pad does not send emails like that .

• Some announcements from pay pal, asking you to update your contact information ,but when you see the from address it is not from pay pal, it is form another id. Pay pal never ask you to update your contact details via email.

• Some time you get really looks like pay pal’s “from email ID” . with a click on link ,asked to click on the pay pal  link to enter pay pal.

Make sure , that delete such emails immediately , pay pal never provide you email links to click and visit their sites. The only saver way to use pay pal site is ,open  a new browser window and type www.paypal.com then log in

• Don’t follow any email link to go pay pal

• Don’t reply any other related merchant looks like eBay or any one via email about pay pal account

• If you want to update any information on any eCommerce web site ,just go to the web directly from your browser and update in the system. Not by following email links .

The new version of adobe acrobat released. It is version 8.0 . I am frustrated with installing and using it in my P4 2.4GHZ Vaio Laptop as it loads very slow.

When you use it may find that, the new version is very attractive only by the design.

I  is a very big file in size as 22 MB . It is too much   size for just   a pdf  reader and loads very slow. Some time makes the computer to crash on the loading time..

The only advantage I see in this new edition is the beautiful skin created for it. The appearance of course no use for such software other than the functionality. Accidentally on the net I found an alternative FOXIT software,and I recommend it for every one  . So  far I use it for last 3 months . Absolutely it is much better than the PDF Giant’s .

The program I use to read pdf files is foxit . it is just only 2.1 MB file. The software (reader only) free and get installed in minutes. Open the documents in seconds.

I found this is very useful as a adobe light weight reading software. Takes small space in your hard disk as well as memory.
